The Combustion Institute
Quarterly newsletter for the advancement of combustion science
Welcome to the first edition of The Combustion Institute quarterly newsletter. The news we feature here will provide a regular source of information about CI announcements and events, biennial symposia, and advancements in combustion. Select the colorful linked items below to access complete articles and other items. If the images do not display in your email, please view this email in your web browser.
The newsletter is one example of the new communications technology CI has currently developed. We have also posted an important announcement about a modern Account Management System (AMS) that will go live on 15 January 2017. The AMS will work in conjunction with the new CI website to maintain detailed user accounts, accept submissions and registrations, and provide a newsletter subscription option to grow our outreach.
Until the new AMS is launched, registered users cannot access their accounts, and new users cannot sign up for accounts. I request our community remain patient during this transition in technology. The rollout of the new AMS is our top priority. In the meantime, news and events may be followed on the CI website and our new social media channels.
The incorporation of modern communications tools assists our mission to promote and disseminate research activities in all areas of combustion science. The issues our members address are challenging and interdisciplinary. It’s our plan to raise awareness of that important work for the benefit of society.
